Meet Jackie Audette
Founder & Head Trainer of Channeled Canine Coaching
Jackie is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), a credential that reflects her successful completion of a comprehensive exam and over 300 hours of hands-on dog training experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a minor in Companion Animal Science from Rutgers University. Jackie also serves as a mentor for CATCH Canine Trainers Academy, helping aspiring trainers gain real-world experience and reach their certification goals through structured guidance and support.
Her journey in dog training began during college, where she taught both group and private lessons at a local pet store and volunteered as a guide dog puppy raiser for a local guide dog school. She went on to work as a trainer at the largest no-kill animal shelter in the U.S., specializing in hard-to-handle dogs and cats. Jackie later completed a three-year apprenticeship to become a Certified Guide Dog Mobility Instructor, training and placing service and guide dogs for individuals with visual impairments, veterans, and first responders in need of PTSD and mobility assistance dogs. Her expertise led her to become an Apprentice Program Manager, mentoring new trainers in the guide dog industry.
In addition, Jackie contracted with a private dog training company, where she worked extensively with owner-trained service dogs, taught group and private lessons both virtually and in-home, and managed a board and train program. Over the years, she has also had the privilege of training dogs for a number of celebrity clients, blending discretion with excellence to meet high-level expectations.
Jackie believes in maximizing the power of positive reinforcement to create lasting, trust-based results. She stays at the forefront of modern, reward-based training by regularly attending conferences and pursuing ongoing education, ensuring that her methods are both effective and enjoyable for dogs and their families.
Beyond traditional dog training, Jackie has a unique gift as a pet psychic and medium, offering a deeper, intuitive approach to understanding animals. Meet Theresa Pfiel
Dog Trainer & Training Support Specialist
Theresa is a naturally gifted trainer with a rare blend of calm leadership, strong intuition, and hands-on experience across both canine and equine worlds. While she’s been working with dogs for most of her life, her formal foundation in professional dog training began in 2023 under the mentorship of Certified Professional Dog Trainer Jackie Audette through Channeled Canine Coaching.
She has since immersed herself in canine behavior and training studies through the prestigious CATCH Canine Trainers Academy and is currently working toward dual certification — both through CATCH and the CPDT-KA exam (Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed), one of the most respected certifications in the industry.
Theresa’s well-rounded background includes extensive experience in grooming salons, where she worked hands-on with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. Through this work, she developed a calm, confident handling style and became especially skilled at working with dogs who were fearful, aggressive, or difficult to manage — using patience, body language awareness, and trust-building techniques to ensure safe, low-stress experiences.
She’s also an accomplished equestrian and horseback riding instructor, with years of experience not only training and caring for horses, but also teaching riders how to communicate effectively with them. This combination of hands-on training and instructional experience has strengthened her ability to read subtle body language, manage energy with calm authority, and build trust across species — all of which translate seamlessly into her work with dogs and their owners.
Her passion for training deepened when she brought home her German Shepherd, Harley, as an 8-week-old puppy. Raising and training Harley through the stages of development — from puppyhood through adolescence — gave Theresa firsthand experience with the real-life challenges dog owners face, and further ignited her commitment to the training profession.
Theresa is committed to continued education and professional growth, regularly expanding her skillset to stay aligned with modern, compassionate training methods. Now a valued member of the CCC team, she supports clients during private sessions and is on track to begin offering her own services in the near future.
Theresa looks forward to meeting CCC clients and helping them build a deeper, more joyful relationship with their dogs.
